Your Rights As A Worker:
In the United States, all workers have a right to:
Join a union
Attend union meetings
Speak to union organizers
Declare oneself a union supporter
Assist in forming a union
Under federal law, employers may not:
Threaten workers with punishment if workers engage in union activity
Threaten to shut down the business if workers form a union
Prevent unions from soliciting members outside of working hours
Question workers about union matters or union meetings
Ask whether workers belong to or plan to join a union
Transfer workers to less desirable working conditions as retaliation for joining a union
Threaten to terminate benefits or lower wages to prevent unionization
Threaten a layoff or a loss of jobs because of a union
